Perito Moreno Glacier

One of the top attractions in Los Glaciares National Park. Because it’s freaking gorgeous.

The walkways were well-paved, and the level of difficulty was clearly marked. None of them were really challenging, and there was definitely something for everyone.

We took a tour van (minibus? There were 7-8 folks) out here from El Calafate. There were plenty of options depending on what you feel like doing at Perito Moreno.. We had originally wanted to book the minitrek, where you get little spiky boots (official term, obvs), and you get to walk on the glaciers. Those booked up really fast especially when weather is nice, so unfortunately we weren’t able to make it.

One thing that I didn’t know before the tour was that glaciers were always in motion, always pushing forward. As we were standing around watching, chunks of ice would fall off.. they always happen way too fast. I’m sure you can google a video of something like that.

All looks quiet, but it’s all slowly moving
